What is System?

1) Hardware
                
                 Human can touch and feeling the all of the computer parts.

                 E.g.: - CPU, Monitor, Keyboard, Mouse, Speaker…etc.

2) Software
                   
                 Software has divided into two categories.

   I) System software
            
                 System software has divided into three categories.


      A) Operating system 

                 The operating system can operate computer hardware and human.

                 E.g.: - Windows XP, DOS-(Disk Operating System), UNIX, Linux, 
                           Windows 98 etc.


      B) Translating System

                   E.g.: - Compiler, Interpreter, Assembler…etc.


      C) Utility System

                  E.g.: - PC Tools, McAfee, Symantec, Kaspersky…etc or Anti virus software.                                 Vista…etc.


   II) Application software
           
                 Application software has divided into two categories.


       a) Packages

                  E.g.: - MS Office, Photoshop, Tally, Finagle, and more.

       b) Languages

                  E.g.: - Visual Basic, C, C++, C#, HTML, UNIX, Pascal, JAVA, HBasic…etc.

3) Live wares

                  This ware means to computer workers/jobs or Human.

                   E.g.: - Computer Operators, Computer Lecturers, Computer Instructors, 
                              Computer Engineers, Computer Programmers, Computer Analysts, 
                              Computer professors…etc.

4) Firm wares

               Firmware is a software program or set of instructions programmed on a hardware device. It provides the necessary instructions for how the device communicates with the other computer hardware. But how can software be programmed onto hardware? Firmware is typically stored in the flash ROM of a hardware device. While ROM is "read-only memory", flash ROM can be erased and rewritten because it is actually a type of flash memory.
